I'm changing over an apartment service for a co-worker. He's going from a 3 to a 2 apartment and there is enough room in the existing panel for circuits, but not for the neutrals and grounds.Does the existing bar have to be changed or can I add another bar?

Re: Not enough neutrals in panel.

Some allow 2 some even 3 ground wires to terminate under 1 lug but all I have seen only allow wires of the same gauge to terminate under 1 lug.

Re: Not enough neutrals in panel.

The neutral bar has to be identified for the purpose of landing both grounding and grounded conductors on it when used with NM. As it says in 408.20.
There were a few manufactures that didn't identify there bars in the panel label so we had to buy the add on grounding bar when NM was used.
These panels will usually only have enough terminals to just land the neutrals if every space in the panel was used with a single pole breaker. T&B was one of them.
