Nuisance tripping of smokes

I installed about 10 smoke detectors in a horse stable a few months ago and seems to be they constantly nuisance trip

It's a very dusty environment I'm assuming the dust is messing with the senses inside the units does anybody have a recommendation for smoke detectors for a Dusty area or experience with this

Yes dust in the enemy of smoke alarms. IMO heat detectors may be better suited for that environment.

As mentioned above, a heat detector is what you want in this location. Kiddie HD135F or HD200F; that’s 135 deg and 200 deg.

I’d probably go with the HD200F; it can get pretty hot below the roof of an outdoor building. I’ve installed heat detectors below metal roofs that we measured at 140+ degrees in mid day summer. I think a hay fire would reach 200 degrees pretty quick. But research it before you take my opinion.
