I was looking at a print today and I noticed some lighting coming from Ckt 62 of a panel I asked the guy ruunning the job what was up with that and he said its out of a 84 space panel.. I didnt look that close at it however in my VAST residential knowledge it doesnt sound right....Or is he using the multipler (coscecant) method for a 30 degree bend??

2 cans being used as 1 "panel"
1st can has circuits 1 thru 42, 2nd has circuits 43 thru 84.

I'm sure someone has a picture, this is fairly common.

Typically an "84" circuit panel is two panels together with the same feeder. This is permitted because each cabinet contains only 42 breakers.

In 2008 the 42 circuit limit goes away so 84 circuit panels will become common.

That is probably very true, still I am not looking forward to trying to do a neat job in a single 84 circuit panel with all two wire circuits.

84 grounded

84 grounding

84 ungrounded

252 conductors plus the feeder.

Well yeah, but the good news is, all the MWBC breakers will be tied together.

84 grounding? That's one per circuit. I've been away from the forum a while and haven't covered 2008 cycle changes at this point... so what gives? You looking at running a lot of 2 ccc MC? ...or is that in conduit?

Still, that's going to be a lot of conduit entries... isn't it?
