OCPD rating for non-continuous load

I have a non-continuous load rated at 165A-3ph. I would like to put a contactor in-line to switch it and the existing OCPD is a 200A breaker. The contactor I'm looking at is rated for 185A. Since the next common OCPD device is the 200A breaker, I think I'm fine to do this. 240.3 (B) talks about conductors but doesn't really mention devices. Is this okay or do I need to use a 200A rated contactor? I don't believe so as I'm rating my contactor for the load then.

I believe you're okay with the rating of the contactor compared to the load.

Be sure to use the correct load type, as in resistive or inductive.
