electricalperson said:i own a wiggy brand voltage tester from klein. its a classic tool but the quality just isnt there. if you cant afford to buy the fluke t+pro tester buy a knopp k60 tester. the knopp testers are very rugged and are only about 40 dollars
buy it. its about 90 dollars or so and you will love it. it does have a digital display for voltage but it only puts a reading there at more than 10 volts. you wont disapointed with this tester. flashlight is handy too not super bright but helps find a breaker in a panel with ease.stickboy1375 said:Just the general pros and cons of it... and thing you wish it did or didnt do...

it vibrates by a small electric motor not like a wiggy also nothing can replace a DMM in my opinon76nemo said:First response,....It vibrates with voltage indication, and that function is not switchable. When I get around enough juice, the last thing I want is a device vibrating in my hand!!!!!!! Other cons? None, except I like a full featured DMM for troubleshooting. $85+, and CAT rated for their T+Pro? That's better than no politics. Do NOT reply to that last sentence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats a lot of gear76nemo said:That's the difference between construction and maintenance/automation. Someone calls you in for an in-depth investigation,...you think I am going to walk in with just my T5?
Very least on a maintenance call: Fluke 87V, 337, 1507, IR gun, bag of leads/attachments and PPE. That's just what's in the bag.
mdshunk said:I dunno. I've walked into a lot of calls with nothing more than a 10-in-1, T5, and a mini mag light. That gets me started enough to see what I really need from the truck.
