Not the ones in the picture, but I do grow some under the primary condutors serving the pole mounted transformer to my house though. (notice how I got an electrical topic in there )

Yes and if you alternate AC and DC current through them while feeding them poddy water (wire lube), they will grow to 6ft....

well, seeing as a Moderator brought it up.... there are a number
of things in the "if people would just do it my way" category that
i'd like to take this opportunity to bring to everyone's attention....

the old adage "shoemaker, stick to thy last" seem appropriate here...
there aren't many forums where you can post a question, and get
a mix of replies, with many of them quoting chapter and verse from
the applicable code section. it's a valuable resource, in my opinion.

it's half code class, and half cracker barrel, and both sides are important.

i've got a couple of people i've worked with for a long time, and i'll be
putting in sesimic wires, and the phone will ring, and it'll be mark with
a question about something, and the next day i'll be on the phone with
him, with a question, and between us we'll usually figure out a pretty
clean solution to whatever it is, at least in our own minds... :D
and this forum serves a similar need....

while i'm not always appreciative that the disney channel guidelines
on speech can leave me with a communication deficit, i can still respect
that the man paying for this doesn't want swearing in his living room,
so to speak. i would appreciate some more smilies than are available
however... how about one like this :p with a big pfffftttt.... attached
to it?

I believe that the moderators do a great job of managing the integrity of this forum and I applaud them for their service, however I do wish that on occasion that "Off Topic" discsussions be allowed to continue such as issues with the housing crisis, economy, gas prices, whatever. While some discussions are just damaging, degrading, and are simply not relevant and should be closed, some of these discussions indirectly do effect our jobs and businesses, and are of concern to many of us.

I'm interested in running a little experiment. This area, introduced with the latest upgrade is not easy to find for non-members, and I'm not sure if it is searchable or not. Discuss what you want there, but for now the Mods reserve the right to moderate it the same as the public forum.

I'm just floating a balloon out there, curious to see what happens. :)

Mules point is the baby gets thrown out with the bath water, hiding subjects in a private room will serve to help educate and inform everyone, intrested in topics that affect out business, I think what happens is when related issues are posted. some do get carried away and stray from the issue at hand.

Fuel prices, and related stories are important to a contractor, so are laws and yes even union activity., so you can close your mind and close your eves but the world will go on.

I agree with this too, although I think you meant "eyes" and if that is the case I still agree.
