Old mobile home service needs upgrading

My sister, with special needs, has an old mobile home. The electrical panel is shot. Old fuse style with 40 amp main, 40 amp feeder wires, and is plugged into a pedestal with a 50 amp breaker. No possibility of upgrading to say 100 amp. I’ve been an electrician for 40 years, but never had to deal with much residential, let alone a mobile home. I’m having trouble finding anything to replace the panel with that would meet those needs. Are my only options to get a main lug only panel, and back feed a 40 or 50 amp breaker, and upgrade the feeder cable to 50 amps? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

How did 40A feeders work on 100 Amp breaker in last 40 years?
 
I would say yes, a ML panel with a back feed 50. Since it is protected by a 50 at the pedestal no need to go larger as long as it is large enough for the calculated load

If you upgrade feeder, #4cu / #2AL is good for 100A main.

I probably should have noted, this is in a mobile home park. The pedestal is park owned and maintained. 50 amps is what I’m stuck with.
