Need to get through this winter, have almost everything I need to get a new panel installed...
One of the lugs on the bus bar had some pitting from a bad / loose breaker connection, so had to pull it and double up on another position..
Put a cover on the panel door to cover that opening...
Looks like I might have a similar issue with yet another circuit (bathroom led lights flickering, even after replacing bulbs)
so Im gonna replace a few breakers now just to hold me over until spring time...
Its one of those split type of load centers, has no main disconnect but 6 slots for service type breakers, and in position 6 is a double 50 amp feeding the branch
circuits below .. (100% yuk!)
Label inside door says,
Branch CKT BKR's are
Murray styles MP, MM & EP;
Bryant types BRD, BRO, BAR, BR GFCB;
(W) Types QP, QPGF;
ITE Types EQP, QF
1) Does anyone know which type the depot or lowes has that is a safe choice ?
Second part of question,
Lable also has a diagram and text stating,
Diagram Indicates max number of installed circuit breaker poles
Then goes on to show something
1-1" POSITION
1-1" OR 2-1/2" POSITIONS.
2) Is the 2-1/2" locations where duplex type breakers could be located ?
