my thinking for my non-metallic requirement would be so that you dont have to ground the box and thus save some time. My interpretation of the rules is that this could be done if you have only one cable entry and the sheath is bonded on the other end, or if you have two cables, the sheaths are bonded together by a metal clamp or something like a duplex mc connector
