there was a post similar to this last week, several and myself recommend visio professional. Its much easier to use than cad, IMO.

I have a set of stencils I have made for risers, and then import an excell spread sheet for the conduit schedule.

I'll add a vote for Visio Pro too. I've use it for various things since before MS bought them out and have been pretty happy.

I do like using Visio Pro. I liked it a lot better before MS got a hold of it. It use to be $150 dollar program, then when MS bought it, it went up to $500. AutoCad LT is $500 and the drawings can be used by any A/E or design/build firm.
