I have a vague recollection of seeing this question before. I might even have been the person who posted it. But I have an even more vague non-recollection of what the answer might have been.
Two adjacent single-family homes, one owner who plans to occupy both (i.e., the second as a guest house). Each has its own service from the local utility. Owner wants to install a PV system with battery storage in one building. They want to bring one 30 amp feeder to the other building to supply only a fridge and freezer, which will not get any power from the utility service to that building.
OK?
Not OK?
- 230.2 allows only one service to a building (with exceptions that I will not bring into this thread).
- 225.30 allows only one outside feeder to a building (with similar exceptions).
- Question: Can I bring one of each to the same building?
