Online standards library-free?

Many years ago, there was an online standards library called IHS that basically contained anything you could think of such as UL, NEMA, IEEE, NFPA, ANSI etc, and it was free stuff - as I recall.
Now it appears everything has to be purchased. OR does someone out there know of another online source?

UL and NFPA both have a free viewing system for their documents, but there is no search, copy, or print function, so very difficult to use.
