I know that no flamable material can be inside an electrical enclosure. I found article 110.31(A), about the Fire Resistance of Electrical Vaults. I need a specific article that basically states that no flamable materials can be used a sealant, etc.
The situation is duct seal around the cables to seal an opening used in a temporary situation (until Sept.) to keep vermin out of a switchgear--voltages greater than 600v--the shielded 1000kcmil is routed in tray.
The other key word is temporary--I do not feel that temporary over rules common sense.
