How correct is to say that when it comes to multifamily dwelling load calculations, optional calculations are not permitted to be used for
both feeders and service-entrance or service lateral conductors? I was inform that this is because, to some extent, you would be applying demand factors twice to the same load. I was advice to use the optional calculations for the feeder conductors to the individual units and
the standard calculations for the service-entrance/service-lateral conductors, and never the other way around. This makes a lot of sense
to me but I can?t find anything in the 2011 NEC code to substantiate it. Where can I look??
Thank you
