I heard OSHA was part of the government shutdown. I don't know if it is a full shutdown. They may be suspending inspections, but continue injury investigation.

If you need to "snitch" on a dangerous workplace situation, you may not want to wait a month. Now, how fast OSHA would normally react to such a communication I do not know.
