I cannot seem to find my 2017 NEC.
I am bidding a commercial job where the client wants 2 NEMA 14-50 receptacles installed on the exterior of the building for plug in EVSE chargers.
The existing panelboards are GE bolt on and they do not make a 50 Amp bolt on GFCI breaker. I would need a sub panel from either Siemens or Eaton, who make 50 Amp bolt on GFCI's.
The municipality on the 2017 NEC . Based on this, is GFCI protection required for these receptacles ? Let us ignore that it is a good idea to GFCI them, and just go straight NEC.
