You are not pluging the cord in. You are pluging in a transformer and connecting a cable to it.

You can plug in a flexable cord, but only for electric hand tools that one would use to work abouve the ceiling, then remove.:smile:Correct, you can install a receptacle above a suspended ceiling, you just can't plug in any flexible cord.

Not very likely, the cord would have to be listed in Article 400.

They are limited in power perhaps 20 watts at best, they run a small light fixture that hangs drom ceiling. Really dought could cause a fire but simply not sure if legal to do this. I am talking about the typical thin wire that goes to the devise. Did not see what was in the ceiling but after seeing how the DJ booth was wired i have my doughts. Got out bid so didnt get them. Am set with about 300 beads,what the heck for $8 why not. Love auctions.
