I understand that building can only be served by one outside feeder.

I have apartment buildings A,B,C. Buildings A,B,C are joined by firewall. Each building has about 20 dwelling units.

I have one feeder feeding meter stacks located in building A. Meter stacks in Building A feed dewelling units of Building A. However, From the same meter stacks in Building A, I have feeders going to buildings B,C dwelling units panelboards.

Question:

1. Would the one feeder going to Building A meter stacks be not in compliance with any code section?

2. From Building A multiple feeders feed Buildings B,C dewelling units panelboards would that be not in code compliance?

That’s feeder going into Building A. I have one service switchboard outside apartment complexes. The switchboard has feeder breaker to Building A. The switchboard also has feeder breakers that serve other apartment building but not separated by fire walls totally separate building E,F,G....etc

The feeders from meter stacks feeder breakers are run inside building specifically go to the attic of Bldg A and then go to attic of Bldgs,B,C and then drop down to individual dewelling units Bldgs B,C.

Are you concerned with the supply side of the service entrance conductor or are you tapping off of the supply side of the feeder from the disconnecting means up to Bldg A?... Is everything happening before or after the main service disconnect?

The feeders from "A" running through the attic would not be Art 225 (outside feeders ) that method is commonplace here.

Everything is on the load side of service disco. My main service disco is in outside switchboard and the outside switchboard has fdr breaker to Bldg A.

Can anyone help post #1 question #1 outside feeder going to building A and serves bldgs A,B, C. Can one feeder feed multiple buildings? Would that be not code compliance?

It depends on how you have things set up. Can you post a sketch of what you are doing? or explain in more detail about how you are running things?

Actually at present the install would look like as shown on this post multiple feeders going to apartment complex:

What size are the 4 feeders?

Sounds like you need to hire an engineer to design/consult what you're doing. I think you are asking for information which requires too many specifics.

In post#10 link sketch, Fdr #1 and Fdr#2 feed Bldg 8109 dewelling unit. Also Fdr#1 also serves bldg 8011 dwelling unit thru meter stacks in bldg 8109 and Fdr #2 also serves bldg 8107 dwelling units they meter stacks in 8109 bldg.

My concern is bldg 8109 is served by two feeders while bldg 8011 one feeder and bldg 8107 one feeder.

I am thinking So if one places by rule of 225 assuming no exception apply bldg 8109 to just have one feeder into bldg 8109 then would it comply with 225? Also then one feeder would serve multiple bldgs 8109, 8011, 8107. Not sure if that would be code compliant or not. Any thoughts? Please if anyone can help

OP has started a new thread so we will close this one.
