We have a 120v motor that we want to feed with 15' of sealtight is this permisable? I read article 430.223 which states "Flexible metal conduit or liquidtight flexible metal conduit not exceeding 6' in length shall be permitted to be employed for raceway connection to a motor terminal enclosure." But this follows Section 430 XI. entitled "Over 600 volts, Nominal.
Can someone help me with this?
Thank You, Bryan

You can use it in any length as long as you are not trying to use it as an EGC, see 250.118(6).

Precicely! The length rule is to assure a low impedence ground path if no EG is present or used. Or, if redundant grounding is required.
