What is the NEC article that limits the maximum over current protection for multiple circuits of different AWG size sharing the same raceway to the ampacity limit of the smallest size conductor in the race way?

You might be thinking about 300.3(C)(1). It talks about conductors of different systems being in the same raceway, and requires that all conductors have an insulation system rated at least as high as the highest voltage system represented in the raceway. Otherwise, as Bryan said, there is no rule similar to what you are asking.
