I am needing to run 60 amps from the house panel approximately 35' overhead to a small shop building. I have never had to run overhead lines before and need a little help. Do I need to run triplex or quadraplex? My thinking was I need to run quadraplex inorder to keep the grounded conductor and the equipment ground isolated and drive a ground rod at the shop building. I was going to use the ground as the messenger. Any help, do's or donts would be much appreciated. The conductors will be run over a driveway which is why I am having to go overhead. Thanks in advance.

You could use other methods but a quadraplex is the best way to go, IMO. You will need to set a panel and isolate the neutral from the ground and also add ground rods connected the egc in the panel.
