What is the minimum clearance of overhead conductors that span across a (neighbors) garage?
It is a sloped roof And voltage across the ungrounded conductors are 240V.

Re: Overhead utility conductors

No. I am making the assumption that it is an electric utility owned service drop. If that is the case, the 4 to 12 pitch doesn't enter into the picture. This falls under the NESC not 230.24.

Re: Overhead utility conductors

Inspector tells me it needs to be higher and refers to the nec. can't find a article to refer to. And yes its edison's wires.

Re: Overhead utility conductors

The section that covers customer installed, owned, and maintained service drops is 230.24. The NESC covers the service drops that electric utilities install unless the NESC is not adopted by the state and another standard is adopted as is done in California.
