Is a room which has a significant amount of pure oxygen, contained within pipes, a hazardous location as per the NEC?
Although oxygen in itself is not flammable, any fire in that room would be greatly accelerated if there was an oxygen leak at the same time.
If it is not considered a hazardous location, does the NEC have any specific section or sections which specifically cover these types of rooms?
In order to to give you an idea of the magnitude of oxygen present in the pipes in this room, they are being fed from a 20 MW oxygen plant.
