P.V.C. and NM

I called an inspector to roll an inspection a day,he told me that he wanted to give me a heads up on something.The Chief is going to require all nm in underslabs ( residential here) to be in UF.Why was the first words out of my mouth,The pipe is in a wet location. I haven~t had the time today to search through the nec but what1s wrong with this picture........911

I am not sure what you got there are you saying you run PVC under slabs and presently run NM in it?

If so you may want (or not want ;) ) to read this.

300.5(D)(5) Listing. Cables and insulated conductors installed in enclosures or raceways in underground installations shall be listed for use in wet locations.

Allen, maybe I don't understand what the problem is, but when was NM ever allowed in a wet location?
