painted conduit

I just started with a company that is installing conduit in a hospital,
they are using green, orange, and blue conduit. My question in if the conduit
is painted how can you use it as an effective ground-fault current path?
(the conduit is painted end to end) by the way it EMT. all replays are greatly appreciated

If you're using set-screw connectors, you'll have a good ground. If you're pulling a ground anyhow, it's basically only bonding. I wouldn't get too worked up over it. Go ahead and sand off the paint at each fitting, and see how long it takes your foreman to jump your case. :)

How does the paint hold when making bends? I'll I envision is the paint falling off after making a 90* bend...:)

It's more than just painted, it's some type of a chemical process although I don't know if anodized would be the correct term for the finishes on this line from Allied tubing.

We have been using the red Fire Alarm EMT for a number years now and there is no special considerations to installing it verses regular EMT.

For a while it was a little more expensive but now we are buying for the same price as plain EMT.
