Panasonic fan

Wiring a panasonic exhaust fan Mod#FV-08VKS1 was told by electrical wholesaler to wire with a single pole switch tieing the red with neutral wires.How can this run on low speed or high speed if the switch is in off position? Black wire tied to switch feeding unit.

Don't really know what you are asking but the supply house is probably not the place to get wiring advice

A NOTE ON SWITCHING THIS FAN:
There are a variety of ways that this fan can be switched. When contact with the high speed (red) wire is opened - the countdown begins to turn the fan down to the continuous operation (low) speed. As the wiring diagram indicates - it is also possible to introduce an additional switch to override the fan and turn it off altogether.
