Hi fellas, I have a panel located on the first floor of a 2-story building. This panel is feeding branch circuit for equipment located at the 2nd floor. Is there any section of the NEC that prohibits doing this?
Thanks ahead for any input.
Regards:smile:

No code problems at all. Sometimes it works out best to have a panel on each floor. But that is a design choice, not a code issue.

Unless the poco wants to read the meter - if that type of 'panel' - or local code on main disco if that type, or if you moved it into a clothes closet or bath room, and shy of 3'x30"x6'7" in front of it, if any type.

What kind? And where?

It would be normal for a panel in a basement to serve all floors of a home.

If these are two different tennants, each tennant needs assured access to their breakers.
