panel in bathroom

i had a master tell me that you could put a panel in the bathroom but i had another master tell that you couldn't but niether one of them could find it in the code book so who is right

What year code are you on ? Thinking that master that said yes is very old and has not done houses in last 20 years

The 2002 code you could have a sub panel in a bathroom,but not the main over current in the bathroom.
Reading 2005 code and the new definition of supplementary overcurrent protective device,makes it sound like you still can have an overcurrent device in a bathroom ,not the first branch circuit protection on a circuit.

i have been confused on this overcurrent supplementary protective device definition.i thought it was referring to a device like a gfci and that is what is allowed in bathrooms not panel boards.

Look in Article 100 for the definition of "supplementary.
GFCI's are NOT overcurrent protection.
