Does any one know when bathroom panels became code violations? 240-24 of the 1984 code does not have it in. I know it is not allowed now.

Reason for asking is that I was in an older home with a basement bathroom built ca. 1990/91 - panel is there by the toilet.

I am quite certain it was not allowed in 1990.

I have copies of the 90 and 93 NEC. 240-24(e) was added to the 93 NEC to prohibit overcurrent devices located in bathrooms. That prohibition is not in the 90 NEC.
