I've been noticing what I would call finger safe barriers on safety switches, line terminals of combination starters and pump panels and even on larger frame main breakers in Square D panelboards - particularly 400 amp main breakers (LA type) in I-Line, NQ and NF series panels - but haven't seen such thing in 225 amp or below "loadcenters" as of yet.

The new rule in the standard will only apply it items listed for use as service equipment. I don't think that the finger safe barriers will comply with the new standard but am not sure. It is my understanding that it will be a metal barrier that covers the line side connections.
