inquiring minds and all that.........

Okay?here goes.

I am a retired master electrician. I do electrical maintenance for a condominium complex that has only sells to 55+ years of age. The community is relatively new with some of the buildings just being completed 2 years ago. The first building, from my understanding, was completed sometime in 2003.

The residents have been trying to get the builder to correct many items (bad concrete, siding, plumbing, electrical, etc.) all to no avail for quite awhile. The builder, according to the residents, has either ignored their requests or has made several less than desirous attempts to correct the problems. They have hired a law firm to assess the problems. Since I am familiar with the complex and licensed they asked me to substantiate what they perceive to be NEC violations.

One of their electrical concerns was the erroneous listings in the panel directories that are in the common areas and in just about every individual condo.

The county where the condos are located lags about 2 years or so after a new NEC cycle comes out, much like a great percentage of locals in the US. Since I no longer have copies of the ?99 or ?02 NEC books to exactly quote from the appropriate sections in the years the condos were built, I asked and received the information from all of you?..Thus saving a great deal of my time for which I am very grateful?????..And now you have the rest of the story.

Thanks again & Regards,
Bernard
