Parallel Cable

Someone wants to parallel se cable(200 amp), they want to feed a 400 meterbase with 6 meters. I have never seen service cable used this way, the load is OK, BUT it just does not feel right. THANKS GEO
 
Yes, this is permitted by the NEC. See section 310.4 for detailed requirements. Section 300.3(B) indicates that all conductors of the same circuit shall be contained within the same cable; however 300.3(B)(1) specifically requires each "portion" of the paralleled sets to be in the same cable. It would be advisable to run the cables in very close proximity to each other by bounding or securing methods.
