Could I get some help understanding this?

Edit, are you saying it's 11kv primary with a 400v secondary?

Can't guess on the DYn11
It's a vector group.
11 kV delta primary, 400V four wire star secomdary which makes it 230VLN which mosst residences are served with. And, just premt Tony, yes these are nominal vo;tages.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm curious, what size (kva) transformer did you decide to go with and are you using a step up transformer that is a designed step up transformer or just hooking on up in reverse?

Also, if you wanted to save a couple of dollars, could you do away with that 600-volt disconnect at the step down transformer?

Edit: it may not be a good idea, I was more asking from a code compliant view.

Well consider that 225.31 and 32 will require a disconnecting means at a separate structure...

IDK, for some reason I was thinking the transformers were going outside and there would be a service disconnect on the building.
That may be one way to get around a disconnect on both primary and secondary, but will depend on how you interpret art 100 definition of a structure. A stand alone transformer a may be a "structure" to some but not to others. It is definitely "built or constructed" but not ordinarily "built in place" so to speak.
