My question is this:
I installed with my Journeyman 3 parrallel feeds going from the Automatic Transfer Switch to a 600 amp panel. THe Feeds include 3 phases and a Neutral. So a total of 12 wires were terminnated. When installing the feeds we measured each phase consuctor at 74 inches in lenght, and installed them that way so all three phases would be the same length. ( So A,B, and C phase are all 74 inches termintated for a total of 9 wires terminated.) Then we ran into a problem we had to relocated the Neutral for the feed, so we cut 3 wires at 84 inches ( had to add 10 inches to make it work ) and terminated the wire. So I know on Parrallel run all wires must be the same length or you have an Amperage imbalance. On my installation all 3 phases are landed the same length at 74 inches, but now the Neutrals are at 84 inches. I know the neutral is a return for imbalance. Also the wire is 500 Alumuninum . So will it even matter? Can it effect anything ? I don't know the ansewer so that is why I am posting this. Thanks
