Here we are looking at three, 4 wire feeders in MI cable using a non-ferris entry into a panel.

If you ever get a copy of the Illustrated Guide to the National Electric Code 4th Edition by Charles R. Miller, please look at page 88 concerning Conductors in Parallel. I'm sure that will answer this question once and for all and forever.
That's a $90 book, and I don't happen to have a copy handy. Perhaps I'll have a look at the local bookstore over lunch. But perhaps you could save us the trouble, and scan/post that page for us? I sincerely doubt, however, that any question can be answered once and for all and forever, not in this business at least.

Turns out the local bookstore does not carry it, nor is it in the collections of the two library districts for which I have library cards. You'll have to find another way to enlighten us.

. . . so please forgive me for believing in myself so much and not believing in others as much as I should.
It is not a matter in believing IN someone, as opposed to believing IN someone else. Nobody ever need apologize for believing in himself or herself. What at is at issue here is what to believe.

You are certainly free to believe whatsoever you desire. But the fact that you have chosen to believe something cannot, by itself, bring about change. Let me offer this:
?Belief cannot cause truth; not even the strongest conviction can cause truth. Furthermore, one person?s belief cannot cause another person?s belief to represent untruth.? (Famous saying by some famous guy.)

One more thing: On this forum, the newbies, those who recently achieved JW status, the moderators, the elders, those nearing retirement, and those who have been at it for decades and who have no interest in retirement share one characteristic: we are all students of the profession. The purpose of this forum is to enable each of us to learn from the others. I think it works well.

Well said Charlie, I couldn't agree more.:)

Bill's question was answered many times over by many different posters. I'll say it again too. Parallel conductors are permitted in the same conduit providing they're derated. Do you disagree with those statements?

By the way, Mike Holt shows this method in his Illustrated Guide to 2008 NEC Changes.
