Found out today that NE is still on the '17. Last I knew the word was we would start the first part of Aug with the 20. General Contractor organizations killed it because of added costs. No other concerns, just costs. Had I been paying attention it would have saved my last customer several thousand dollars, so I will have to agree, costs is a consideration.

The bad news is it cost him a lot of money.
The good news is that the code will eventually change and he will be a step ahead

I anticipated it based on the 20. The house won't be built for a year or two but I needed to make provisions to maintain a stock well until then. New pad mount transformer, ASSumed an Emergency disconnect. 400 amp 3R fused for high end home. (I will not be doing the home)

Dukes of hazard Philadelphia in 2 code cycles. 2017 for 1 & 2 family residences and everything else in 2014 NEC. You must do a OSHA 10 or 30 if a boss and showvproof of vehicle insursnce. Never daw a sparky performing electrical work while driving so makes no sense.

It's gonna be funny when that handyman man taps off of a GFI protected AC or Well pump to add a 120v convenience outlet and it continually trips when load is applied to one leg.
