I have a customer with a large rental (sleeps something like 30, 10,000 square feet) and he’s thinking of adding a car charger that people would pay to use. Anyone. Have any experience with anything like this. Done plenty of chargers but never one that needed to charge for use etc.

Just do a little Google research. It has been a while, but I remember most of the charges I have looked for have a common accessory or a credit card reader interface. Then you run a CAT 6 to it as a Point of Sale

Isn't this illegal a lot of the time depending on the Utility?
In many states you are allowed to reallocate kWH costs as long as you do not markup the rate. But then, you are allowed to charge for other costs, such as the rental time of the EV 'charger' itself.

Blink EV chargers ….. I built an office building awhile back and this is what they used. They offer some revenue sharing for reduced cost equipment or you can buy it outright and have Blink handle the billing .

Eaton makes a charger with credit card or fob access using cellular. Don’t know if they are tied to any specific company. I’ve done quite a few Blink years ago, but at that time they had a lot of software issues. Seems like they were using Eaton units.
