Ive never done one of these and can't find any info on them. I've seen pics of the pedestal combo meter/main breaker assemblies. How are they installed? Just dig a hole and put it in? I have a guy that needs ihis replaced, but his current service is not a pedestal type, this is for a mobil home park. Thank you for any info you could give me

That's about it. Once you get your pedestal you will see it's a simple install.
Be sure to get a price on the pedestal before you give a price for the job because they are not cheap.
The pedestal will normally belong to the park and not the tenant.

That's about it if the service is already underground. Every model I've seen feeds from the bottom. They're meant to have a 2 foot burial depth, so you'll need to dig a bit deeper near the pedestal location to S-bend your service and feeder to allow good bend radius.

It pays to shop around, as I've seen big variations in price for the same models.
Also so be sure the meter base is acceptable to the local poCo.

You will need to have the ability to add an accessory bldg etc. usually we use something that has a feed thru panel or meter main combo etc., but be sure there is something outside for it.
