Any of you guys going to open up and help a poor soul out on the per opeing prices?:) :)

don't know if you read my post on your question but , if perhaps you needed a spread sheet I am sorry buyt I create them as I go, every job has its unique about their own even when your building in series and everything seems like everything else , you end up having to improvise to make it work.

I do not need someone else's spread sheet. I am trying to design my own.
I was just curious of the difference people charge between a plug, single switch and more importantly multi gang switches. I mean it seams to that if you have a 3 gang switch you have 3 times the wire for switch legs, may not have 3 times the staples and labor for drilling etc. etc. This is why I was curious of what the price difference others were charging between a 1 gang switch and a 2, 3 and 4 gang switch.

I think most would consider multi-gang boxes as one opening per gang. Maybe we should call it per-gang pricing.

Well Celtic I might need your spread sheet more than others, I'm in norhtern Jersey but I am still working my prices. Would you mind sharing it with me?
Thank you very much if you do.

I count a 3-gang switch box as (3) openings.
I count an electric dryer or oven as (4) openings.
6" recessed lights with baffle trim as (2) openings.

I count (1) opening for doorbell wiring, low-volt garage door wires, whips for dishwasher, flourescent lights, etc.

Bathrom exhaust fans as (1) and fan/lts as (2), unless they are Panasonics.
Ceiling fans as (4) openings, that includes hanging, and speed/dim control.

When i do a take-off, this generalized number will include a 200 amp service, fed underground by utility.
Then I add variables for larger service, 12' ceilings, cutting into brick or stone, and so on.

Hope this helps.

You say tomato I say tomato (lost in the spelling)
You call em openings I call em drops. $60 240v count as two.
