The post on "excessive" permit cost got my curiosity.
How much is the average total electrical permit in your area for a 3000 sq ft home, 200 amp service. ?

One local town/city is 195/house another is 300/house. Ranges to whatever they feel like charging.

i think i payed $65 for a 25 circuit permit for rewiring my house

In my home town, the GC submits a full set of plans (including electricial) and he covers whatever "fees" are required. The EC pays $45 for a permit, and $45 per inspection.
