PF525 EM Brake control ??

1. The drive is supplying the mA control power at 24vdc. Look here at the OP original post:

Friends,
I have a PF525 VFD 1HP 480V drive. At the last minute they changed the motor to a break-motor.
I have 480V in the VFD cabinet obviously, but I have no control voltage. no 120 or 24V at all. And no space to add a XFMR./PSU.
I need to operate a brake contactor for the EM brake from the PF525. The PF525 onboard 24V+ is only good for like 100ma or so.
We could use either the Opto-outputs (50ma max) or the R1 relay output. But I would need a 2-pole contactor with a coil consumption less then 100ma..

2. You transform 480 to 24 vac with a transformer. Either way you can obtain 24vdc from 480 in many ways.

3. But again, he DOESN'T HAVE that 24VAC power source, or any other power source, to work with. THAT’S the crux of the problem.

please explain how a small 480x24 vac does not solve this issue?

Apparently you missed, and KEEP MISSING, this part of the OPs initial statement, even though you just reposted it…
