With the rotary type it is just that simple and as I mentioned you can make one out of a standard three phase motor.
Now you have given me a new "garage project" to try. There is a junk yard not to far from me that has lots of 3 phase motors that no one has use for and they sell them cheap because of the lack of demand.
I am curious how A & B phase shifting doesn't cause an issue on the line side.
