We have (2) 200A Panels (240 Single) on a light industrial building in a business park. We (the owner) currently occupy and use the whole building. The building was originally set up in two segregated halves. We used the back, and rented the front, hence the two 200A panels / meters.

We are going to be setting up a CNC Machining Center, and the MFG has recommended we dedicate a PhasePerfect PT-3110 to the Machining Center.

Here is the Data Sheet: http://www.phaseperfect.com/files/pt3110specs.pdf

Here is the Installation Guide: https://www.americanrotary.com/pdfviewer/PIDS-1419335880_2718.pdf

The PT-3110 is actually two PT-355's in parallel, with control wiring between them so that one slaves to the other and they work together. If you look at page 12 of the Installation Guide, note that the single phase inputs are common to each other. A 220-250A breaker is recommended on the input side.

The problem is, we have two (2) A panels. We have plenty of power in total, but we need to pull about 125A from each panel.

Will we have to replace the two 200 panels with one 400A panel so that we can pull what we need? My understanding is we can not safely (or legally) parallel 125A off each panel, as imbalance (slight differences in conductor length or resistance) will cause the current to shift to one conductor.

The run from the (2) 200 Panels to the machine is about 80 feet.

What are my options?
