Quick poll: In residential, do you put your wall-phone jacks higher than your switches?

What provisions, if any, do you make for a phone shown on a countertop in a kitchen?

Curious what others do.

I find that 1 light-year is a pretty workable distance.

I go about five feet to center.
For above counter installations, same height as other outlets.

one of the great things about doing huge houses is they all have structured wire panels and low voltage guys deal with it. on that note most of them put them at the same level as the closest outlet. this is what i have always done previous to the monster house promotion

2 ins above counter top receptacles. Otherwise when using a wall mounted phone it fits nicely
