Plastic and Copper Cold Water Grounding

When a house has plastic water piping system with a transition to copper for the short stubs thru the walls do these short stubs need to be grounded? If yes or no where can I find some written back up to support this. Please Help!!!!

IMO...no bonding needed. 250.104(A)(1) says water piping "systems".

A short section of metal pipe need not be bonded...unless 250.104(B) were to apply. Then just bond to the circuit grounding conductor likely to energize the pipe.
