Plastic sheet covers for labelling the panel

Lately I've been printing out my own breaker directory for my breaker panels, mostly resi work. Looks professional. I've been just taping them to the inside of the door. Ive thought about using plastic sheet covers so I can pull the sheet out and add to when needed. Wondering any ideas about to just affix the sheet protector to the inside of the panel door and then slide my print out right in. standard printer paper.

Reasoning is obvious, they never give me enough room for some extra detail, plus my handwriting is bad, and my Brother brand labeller just takes too long, esp. if something gets moved around in the panel.

Thoughts?

I print out the directory using Excel on a full 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper and use a plastic sheet cover installed on the door with double faced tape.IMG_20240430_103618417.jpg

I worked at a place that used clear packing list envelopes, and I liked the system they had. It was easy to read, it stayed in place, and any edits/changes could be easily managed.

I shrink mine down when I print them so they don't hang off the sides of the door. I also have an Excel workbook that I got from here many years ago. It not only does the directory, but it also does the load calculations if you enter all the information.

Guys, come on get with the program here. Industry standard is handwritten with pen. There will be some mistakes so also some cross outs. Writing should be barely legible. leave several circuits unidentified with a question mark. Printed out panel legend in a protective sleeve, LOL 😂
You forgot that some descriptions need to be misspelled, like dinning room, refridgerter, garge, harthe room....
