I ran into this on a DIY site.
Yes, all that equipment is inside the shower!!!!
Read the narrative below that was included with the photo.

I'm getting ready to renovate our shower, and since the fan on the old heater keeps going out I was thinking of just replacing it with a baseboard heater along the back (right-hand side in the picture) and be done with it. I was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a unit that won't stick out too far (it should be out of the way enough to keep from tripping over).
Second, the electric-razor receptacle and fan/light switches get gunked up from time to time. Are there ones, maybe with some kind of cover, that would help keep the soap and shampoo out?

Finally, we get shocks sometimes from the shower light that hangs down from the ceiling (I think they called it a pendant light?), so I want to replace that as well. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm not so sure, I looked at the photo with some pretty good magnification and didn't see signs of Photoshop. Keep in mind that I am not a graphics expert.

Yea it's pretty good if it is, but here's a question, dimmer and 2 switches in there (that we can see) what are they for?

Besides the pendant (which we also don't see) what else could be in there?

Maybe it used to be the entrance door area to the john?

i belive its real - people do dumb things - should have cleaned the shower before posting a pic though

Really!!

I don't see any, either. But what I did notice is there's no rust stains under either the devices or the heater. Surely with that much moisture around that much NEMA-1 rated stuff, rusty water is sure to run down the wall and leave a trail.

I believe it's a real photo. PJ and I do mess with images and graphics, and we agree it doesn't look 'shopped, even after enlarging and looking for familiar artifacts.

Note the reflection of the heater on the right side glass, with a toilet below a window with miniblinds overlapping the reflection. Doable, but it takes a lot of work to do.
