PM Q: Tranformer Floating Neutral

Is the X2 X3 already bonded to the enclosure in a 480x240single phase transformer? I am getting strange voltages and im wondering if it is because of a floating nuetral.

Thats not a bolted fault it's a grounded mid point or neutral. 120 from X1 to X2&3 120 from X4 to X2&3 or 240 from X1 to X4. and no they are not gronded from the factory.

It seems like these people are just making jokes. since they are not grounded from the factory , does that mean I need to ground it to the enclosure myself?

Just take the cover off and look at it.

No, they are not bonded @ the factory. Yes, you must bond them yourself and that can be done either at the transformer or at the secondary disconnect. Not both places.
