Anybody see any issues with stapling NM cable down the 6”x6”posts and using plastic nail on boxes?

Open wood truss system above.


Don’t know how much physical protection would be required for NM cable.

Lowest point of the cable would be 48” off the floor.

Suggestions appreciated.

That’s the norm around here. Most of these building are for machinery storage.

This is at a residence. Not sure of the actual use would assume it’s gonna be like a large garage.

The wiring method you describe would also be used for that type of building usage here.

We found it easier to run conduit around the building at the 48” vs up/down. Sure made for easier to add a circuit later.

Accepted here on residential as long as there is some type of siding to allow it to be a dry location,
