Hi all,
Finishing the wiring in an elevator pit for a high school. Elevator inspector requiring separate junction box to consolidate wires from sump pump, float switch, and sump alarm into one wire with plug to enter single plug, non-GFCI receptacle. Anyone run into this issue?
 
When it comes to elevators the NEC takes a back seat to ANSI A17.1. Typically electrical inspectors won't go to far into elevators after the wiring enters the pit or machine space.
